The lesbian banner ’s origin is relatively young, emerging in response to the dominance of the rainbow emblem within the broader LGBTQ+ community . Initially, designers felt that the rainbow flag didn't adequately acknowledge lesbian experiences and identities. In 1999, Denise Lyon designed a fla
